Project Description

Masterplan and associated detailed design work undertaken for The Fields Millennium Green Trust. Elements included: new perimeter fencing and site entrances intended to restrict motorcycle access, extensive new surfaced footpath network, viewing mound with access spiral path and sculpture, ”village green’ for events / informal ball games with mass planting of daffodils around margins, small pond / ditches / wetland areas, small blocks of native trees / shrubs, hazel coppice, orchard, new hedgerow along road boundary and wildflower meadow. The scheme transformed a neglected site subject to a significant amount of flytipping into an extremely well used space where community events of all kinds frequently take place.
